Notes for Class

Location

Classes are held in the Spartan Athletic Complex on the Vermont State University Castleton Campus.

Attendance and Attitude

If you cannot make this class, or have to drop out, PLEASE contact us! There is a very long waiting list.

Please show up on time and ready to get in the water. The student’s adult will have to be in the water the whole time with them. Note: if you are the adult and are scared of water, please consider asking another adult to be in the class. A child can sense if you’re scared. Please reach out with any questions. We’re here to help.

Attire and Accessories

If your child is not potty trained, they must must must have swimmers (water diapers) on while in the pool. We don’t want to have shut the entire pool down because of one accident.

Your child will need to be in a bathing suit. Kiddos tend to get cold in the water quickly, so we recommend the suits that also have a shirt on them.

As will all public pools, we recommend shower shoes for children and adults. (I personally use my kid’s sandals but you can use whatever.) We won’t be using them in the pool. But they’ll be nice to have in the locker room and pool area.

Please do not bring googles, flotation toys, fins, or anything else to class. We will just be in our bathing suits.
